    ACTIONS EN COURS :

    Les thématiques de recherche sont centrées sur l'étude du transport des glucides, des acides aminés, des peptides et des stérols chez les plantes et les levures. Ces thématiques concernent directement la productivité végétale et les réactions de défense des plantes vis à vis des polluants et des champignons.

    Les techniques employées couvrent un vaste domaine méthodologique :
    - physiologie végétale (croissance, photosynthèse, autoradiographies, électrophysiologie, mesures de flux ioniques transmembranaires)
    - méthodes analytiques (chromatographie en phase gazeuse, chromatographie liquide en haute pression, chromatographie en couche mince, électrophorèse sur papier, spectrométrie de masse, appliquées aux sucres, aux acides aminés, aux stérols)
    - biochimie végétale (fractionnement cellulaire, préparation et caractérisation de fractions membranaires, dosages d'enzymes du métabolisme et de marqueurs membranaires, électrophorèse mono- et bidimensionnelle des protéines, utilisation de vésicules membranaires purifiées ; préparation et utilisation d'anticorps en dosage ELISA et Western blot)
    - biologie moléculaire (clonage de gènes de levures et de plantes par criblage de banques d'ADN complémentaires, par amplification génique (PCR); études de l'expression de ces gènes dans des bactéries, des levures et des plantes (Southern et northern blot, gènes rapporteurs); analyses bioinformatiques
    - microscopie (optique, à fluorescence), électronique (transmission, balayage), à fluorescence laser ; immunocytochimie.

    Ces projets débouchent sur la mise au point de plantes résistantes à la pollution et aux maladies.
